Fokker celebrates opening of Mexican facility
Papendrecht, the Netherlands, March 20, 2012 --[ASDWire]-- Fokker Aerostructures, a business unit of Fokker Technologies, today celebrated the official opening of its brand-new production facility in the city of Chihuahua, Mexico. Production has started with the manufacturing of tail sections for business jets, and the first products are expected to be delivered in April 2012. In the near future the facility will also produce other aerostructures work packages. Fokker will further explore the possibility of starting up activities in Mexico for its other businesses such as electrical systems.

Fokker Aerostructures has a leading market position in the design, development and production of wing components, fuselage panels and tail sections for business Jets and helicopters. The company designs and produces the tail sections for the Gulfstream G550, the Gulfstream G650 and the Dassault SMS business jets as well as the NH90 helicopter.
